Senior Pastor, Dean Feldmeyer
Pastor Dean is a celebrated speaker and author and has taught on the adjunct faculty of the Methodist Theological School of Ohio and is currently an adjunct professor at Wilmington College. He is the author of five novels, two nonfiction books, three plays, and over 50 short stories, articles, poems, and essays.
Pastor Dean's sermon “Be Not Deceived” was named one of the three best American sermons of the year by “Circuit Rider” magazine. He is the winner of the Columbus Dispatch Short, Short Play Competition as well as the Geoffrey Chaucer Award from the World Order of Narrative Poets.
Dean is an avid golfer and his wife, Jean, is a registered nurse. They have two adult children, Ben and Sarah.
Director of Christian Education, Amber Dorsch
Amber has grown up in the Wilmington United Methodist Church. Amber earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Wright State University and completed a Master of Education from Antioch University McGregor in 2008. It was during her Masters program that she felt a desire to serve her home church, and joined the staff as Director of Religious Education in September 2007. She has really enjoyed working in many ministries of the church, including the Sr. Youth Ministry, creating a new, lively Women’s Ministry, and enhancing the children’s and family ministries of our church.
Amber enjoys reading, watching and playing sports, trips to the theater, and time spent with family. She is married and has a beautiful daughter, Makenna, born September of 2008.
