Children's Ministry

"... Jesus said, Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven"    Mark 10:14

At Wilmington United Methodist Church we strive to provide a loving and nurturing environment for your children.
Our goal is to light the path to Christ and a life of faith that will guide them through all that life presents.

We invite you to browse the information on this page and encourage you to call with any questions you may have.

Nursery

Our nursery facilities provide a safe, clean, and caring environment for your children ages 6 weeks to 3 years.  Children in nursery enjoy free play, story time with easy Bible lessons, and praise and music time.

We have a simple check-in and check-out system to guarantee the safety of your child.  Most importantly, we provide loving and nurturing care-givers.  Meet our Nursery Staff...

Children's Ministry

At Wilmington UMC we strive to provide many opportunities for your child to participate in the life of the church.

Children ages 4 through 5th grade can:
    * Participate in Sunday School from 9:45am to 10:30am each Sunday
    * Help during the worship service as acolytes, lighting the altar candles
    * Join in our Children's Moments during worship
    * And even have their own worship experience in Junior Church with kids their own age during both worship services.

Junior Church provides a space for kids to enjoy praise time with singing and dancing to fun, upbeat songs, bible stories, crafts, games, and more!
