Volunteer Central

It takes a whole church to worship and serve our God.

We believe that every member of our church is called by God to ministry.  Our job is to discover what particular ministry God is calling us to.

Opportunities for ministry through volunteerism abound at The Wilmington United Methodist Church.  A few are listed below.  Browse the list.  Maybe you'll find that ministry to which God is calling you!

Opportunities needing volunteers:

Ushers and Greeters are an integral part of Sunday morning worship.  They are the friendly faces that make you feel welcome and comfortable at each and every worship service, whether it's your first visit or your millionth!

Altar Flowers
add beauty and life to the altar each Sunday.  Arrangements should be no larger than 14"W x 18"H.

Sunday School Teachers are those special volunteers that teach our children, youth, and adults to be and make disciples of Christ.  Whether you can help for an hour, a month, or a year, we've got a need for you to fill.

Fellowship Hour hosts are needed to provide light snacks and to prepare coffee for the fellowship hour. Please Rita Cramton to volunteer.

Communion Angels are those volunteers that are able to give 1 day per month to take communion to those who are unable to travel to church.

Reading Volunteers are needed for a new program started by Alice Lundblad.  If you would like to read to children at Your Father's Kitchen please contact Alice.

Ohio Benefit Bank:  If you can help to be a host/hostess, babysitter, or trained counselor at the OBB , please contact Alex Ives or Annen Stuckert at 937-366-1279.  This is a new service available to our community to help people in need apply for a variety of government assistance programs.  Tax preparation is also available for qualified individuals.   More info...
